The Art of The Grinch Model Sheet Original Art (MGM, c. 1990s). When Virgil Ross left Warner Brothers after 30 years of service, he worked almost everywhere. He did animation for Marvel, Filmation, Hanna-Barbera, even on Ralph Bakshi's Fritz the Cat. This is a Model Sheet style page of original drawings of the Grinch. There are seven great red-eyed poses, with sizes of 4" to 8". These were done on 16 field animation sheets in graphite over blue pencil, to be sold at personal appearances Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) made at Warner Brothers Studio Store Galleries and Animation Galleries. He would make personal appearances to promote his own hand-painted limited edition cel line of sequences of characters from scenes he had worked on. He won the Winsor McCay Award for his contributions to animation art in 1988. This fun model sheet drawing is hand-signed by Mr. Ross.
