Home/Change Series
The movie Heavy Metal 2000 is a sequel to the 1981 animated cult film Heavy Metal based on the fantasy magazine Heavy Metal. The story itself is based on the graphic novel, The Melting Pot, written by Kevin Eastman, Simon Bisley and Eric Talbot.
Upon discovery of a shard of the Loc-Nar (the evil orb from the original movie), a miner named Tyler becomes possessed by an insatiable hunger for power and a thirst for immortality. On his way to a planet which has a fountain of immortality, Tyler stops at F.A.K.K.? (Federation-Assigned Ketogenic Killzone) because its inhabitants carry some immortality water in their bodies. Tyler abducts a few people and kills the rest, but misses one: Julie (voiced by B-movie queen Julie Strain). She vows to avenge her family and kill Tyler before he reaches the fountain?unaware that her sister Kerrie (Sonja Ball) is actually still alive. She is aided by a mysterious alien named Odin (Billy Idol) and Zeek (a.k.a. the talking rock).
