Marvel: The Incredible Hulk (1996)
Home/Change Series
The Incredible Hulk was an animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The series ran for 13 episodes on NBC in 1982, part of a combined hour with Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (as The Amazing Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk).
It also was re-created in the 1990's and ran two seasons, for 21 episodes, on the television network UPN from 1996 to 1997.
The series continued the concept of a shared Marvel Animated Universe with numerous episodes featuring characters from other Marvel cartoons of the period. In the second season, the show's format, after UPN decided that Season 1 was too dark, was changed, and to give "female viewers a chance", She-Hulk was made a regular co-star. As a result, the series was officially renamed The Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk. The second season also featured the Grey Hulk.
The series is often fondly remembered for the overwrought nature of its musical score and accompanying narration by Hulk creator Stan Lee. The same music was also used in Dungeons & Dragons.
