RB: Festival of Family Classics

Rankin Bass based each animated episode on a classic story, fairy tale or folk tale. Each was introduced by Carl Banas with twenty episodes. The characters were designed by Paul Coker Jr., who also designed the classic Frosty the Snowman and other popular Rankin Bass specials. Rankin Bass Festival of Family Classics, with animation by Mushi Studios, were produced in 1972 and 1973 to help local TV stations fill the void in their schedule created by the FCC's Prime Time Access Rule.
